American
pets putting on pounds just like owners
The old wives' tale holds that people start to look
like their pets. Turns out it's the other way around:
America's pets are starting to look like Americans
— overweight.

Dogs:
A Lifetime Commitment
Like the bonds of matrimony, getting a dog is
a lifetime commitment. They offer unmatched devotion,
loyalty and friendship, but they require more
than just food and shelter in return. They also
need healthy doses of exercise, training and-most
of all-love and attention.
NEWLY
LAUNCHED SITE FOR RECLAIMING LOST PETS
Pets
are lost at an alarming rate. Over 80,000 pets
go missing every day with only 18% of them ever
getting returned. These vulnerable little members
of our families are traumatized without a means
in which to communicate how to get them back to
their families.
The Pet Rescue LLC will send lists of lost and
found pets to all veterinarians, pet shelters,
and pet-related centers for the local areas. It
is the only service which aggressively advertises
all lost and found animals with photos throughout
the US and Canada. They cooperate and exchange
help with all pet-related services. They offer
many free services; listings of veterinarians,
pet shelters, adopt-a-pets which are local to
each state. Their site offers a forum which allows
pet owners to exchange thoughts with each other
about anything and everything. They even have
their own weekly magazine, Paw Prints Weekly,
which has animal-related news and helpful hints
in maintaining healthy pets.
